Basic Features
- SingNet's TIMEBANK allows the user to save his unused free hours to be carried forward to the next month for consumption.
- The amount of free usage allowed to be carried over will be rounded down to the nearest minute block.
- The maximum amount that can be carried forward is equal to the amount of monthly free usage entitled for his subscribed plan, i.e. 13 hours for standard Plan I, 35 hours for Plan II, etc.
- SingNet's TIMEBANK applies to the following packages where free usage is entitled, i.e
- All ISDN Personal Plans (both 64k and 128k)
- All Personal, Business, Student Dial-up Access Plans
- Special Circumstances
Users who change their plan or userid will still enjoy the SingNet's TIMEBANK benefit to have the unused hours from the previous plan/userid carried over to the new plan/userid. Those who migrate from toll-free to non toll-free plans will also get the equivalent dollar worth of unused hours for their new plan. Base on the Internet connection economy rate of $3.50/hr.
FAQ
- When will this service be provided?
This feature has been introduced for all analogue Dial-up,
since 1st Sep 97. For Personal ISDN Plans, this service is
effective from from 1st April 1999.
- Do I have to apply for it and how much does it cost?
It's FREE! You don't have to pay for it. This is a value-added
feature in any SingNet dial-up plans (toll free and non-toll
free) and Personal ISDN Plans.
- Can my free hours be carried for more than one month?
NO. SingNet's TIMEBANK only allows you to carry forward for
one month. e.g. If you have carried over 10 unused hours from
last month and you do not utilise them this month, the 10
hours will not be carried over to next month.
- What is the maximum that I can carry forward to the next
month?
The maximum is the monthly-entitled free hours for the plan
you subscribed to e.g. If you are a Plan I (non toll-free)
subscriber, with 13 free hours every month, the maximum you
can carry forward to the next month is 13 hours.

- If I change my plan, will I lose any unused hours from
previous month?
No. The unused hours/value from your previous plan will be
carried over to your new plan. However, if you have terminated
your account, any unused hours/value will be forfeited and
will not be retrievable.
- If I change my userid, will I still get to carry over
my unused hours/value from the previous userid?
Yes
- How can I check my carried forward unused value/hours?
The online connection time query utility will take on a new
interface to also reflect the carried forward unused value/hours.
