Check Network Configuration in Windows 2000 Professional

1. From the windows desktop, select the network neighbourhood icon
2. Click on right button of the mouse and select Properties option




3. Double click on Local Area Connection icon




4. Click on Properties button




5. Select the option "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" and click on Properties button




6. Tick the option "Use the following IP address" and check the IP are as follows:

IP Address : Please refer to your service letter
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway : follow the IP address except the last number is 2 e.g. XXX.XXX.XXX.2
7. Tick the option "Use the following DNS Server Addresses" and check the DNS serveres as as follows:

Preferred DNS Server : 165.21.83.88
Alternate DNS Server : 165.21.100.88
8. Click on OK button




9. Click on OK button to close the TCP/IP window
10. Click on OK button to close the Local Area Connection window
11. You have successfully checked the network configuration in Windows 2000 Professional
