Aztech DSL700P

Install Driver and configure Network settings in Windows 2000 Professional
Note:

  • Ensure that you have installed the Aztech DSL700P Card properly into the Computer
  • Ensure that you have inserted the Aztech DSL700P Installation CD into the CD ROM
  1. When you startup the system ,the Windows will detect the Aztech DSL700P Card
  2. You should see the Hardware Wizard window appears as shown below
  3. Click on Next > button to continue



  4. Tick the option "Search for the suitable driver for your device (Recommended)" and click on Next > button



  5. Tick the option "Specifiy a location" and click on Next > button



  6. Click on Browse... button



  7. Browse to the CDROM drive and select "3_Win2K" folder
  8. Click on OK button



  9. Click on OK button



  10. Click on Next > button



  11. Click on Yes button to agree on the digital signature



  12. Please wait while the Windows is copying files



  13. Click on Finish button to end the installation



  14. Next is to configure the Network settings
  15. From the windows desktop, select the network neighbourhood icon
  16. Click on right button of the mouse and select Properties option



  17. Double click on Local Area Connection icon



  18. Click on Properties button



  19. Select the option "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" and click on Properties button



  20. Tick the option "Use the following IP address" and type in the IP as follows:

  21. IP Address : Please refer to your service letter
    Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway : follow the IP address except the last number is 2 e.g. XXX.XXX.XXX.2
  22. Tick the option "Use the following DNS Server Addresses" and type in the DNS servers as follows:

  23. Preferred DNS Server : 165.21.83.88
    Alternate DNS Server : 165.21.100.88
  24. Click on OK button



  25. Click on OK button to close the TCP/IP window
  26. Click on OK button to close the Local Area Connection window
  27. You should see a small icon at the system taskbar



  28. You are ready for surf the Internet and read your emails
  29. You have successfully installed the Aztech DSL 700P driver onto the Windows 2000 Professional
