Check Network Configuration in Windows 98SE

1. From the windows desktop, select the network neighbourhood icon
2. Click on right button of the mouse and select Properties option




3. You should see a window as shown below
4. From the network components, select TCP/IP -> DSL700P ADSL Network Modem




5. Ensure the option "Specify an IP address" has ticked and the IP address and the Subnet Mask has entered correctly

(please refer to the service letter for the IP address)


6. Click on Gateway Tab




7. Ensure the Gateway IP has entered correctly
8. Click on DNS Configuration Tab




9. Ensure the option "Enable DNS" has ticked and the DNS Server Search Order IP address are as follows:

Primary DNS : 165.21.83.88
Secondary DNS : 165.21.100.88
10. Click on Advanced Tab




11. Ensure the value of the option "Allow binding to ATM" is set to Yes




12. Click on OK button to close the TCP/IP window
13. Click on OK button to close the Network window
14. You have successfully checked the network configuration in Windows 98SE
