Check Network Configuration in Windows XP

1. From the windows desktop, double click on My Network Places icon




2. Double click on Local Area Connection icon




3. Select the option "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" and click on Properties button




4. Tick the option "Use the following IP address" and check the IP is the same as follows:

IP Address : Please refer to your service letter
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway : follow the IP address except the last number is 2 e.g. XXX.XXX.XXX.2
5. Tick the option "Use the following DNS Server Addresses" and check the DNS servers is the same as follows:

Preferred DNS Server : 165.21.83.88
Alternate DNS Server : 165.21.100.88
6. Click on OK button




7. Click on OK button to close the TCP/IP window
8. Click on OK button to close the Local Area Connection window
9. You have successfully checked the network configuration in Windows XP
