Configure ATM / Network Settings in Windows 2000
Please take note the following points :
- You must have the original Microsoft 2000 CD before carry out this procedure .

1. From the Computer Desktop , select the "My Network Places" icon and

right click on the mouse to select Properties option



2. You will see four icons appears as shown below




3. Select the "ATM Connection" icon and right click on the mouse to select Properties option




4. Ensure that Windows has detected the ATM Cards

( so far for efficient products , there are only 2 models supported which are ENI25p & Eff30010 )
5. Enable the three components as shown below

( Make sure there is a tick )
6. First Component : Client for Microsoft Networks




7. Second Component : Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)




8. Third Component : ATM Call Manager

( note : make sure you have disable the component for "ATM LAN Emulation" )



9. Select the component for Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties button
   



10. Configure the settings as follows :

IP Address
IP address : please refer to the Service Letter
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Default gateway : follow the IP address except last number is 2
DNS Server address
Preferred DNS server : 165.21.83.88
Alternate DNS server : 165.21.100.88



11. Click on OK button
12. Select the component for "ATM Call Manager" and click on Propertiesbutton
    



13. Click on Add... button




14. Configure the settings as follows :

Name : magix
Virutal path ID : 0
Virtual circuit ID : 100
ATM adaptation layer : AAL 5
15. Click on Advanced... button




16. Fill in the blank fields with a value of 398
17. Click on OK button twice



18. Click on Add... button again to add another circuit



19. Configure the settings as follows :

Name : magix
Virutal path ID : 0
Virtual circuit ID : 101
ATM adaptation layer : AAL 5
20. Click on Advanced... button




21. Fill in the blank fields with a value of 398
22. Click on OK button twice




23. You should see two circuits have added and click on OK button




24. Click on Configure button




25. You will see a dialog window appears as shown below
26. Click on Advanced tab




27. Select Aggregate Rate (kbits) and type in the value as 512
28. Click on OK button




29. Click on OK button to end the settings




30. Double click on ATM Connection icon




31. You will see that you are connected to the Magix Service




32. You have successfully configured Network Settings in Windows 2000.
