Efficient Speedstream 3010

Install Driver in Windows ME
Please take note the following points :
- You must have the original Microsoft ME CD before carry out this procedure .
- You must have the Magix Starter Kit CD with you or downloaded the driver

1. Efficient does not provide Windows ME driver for Efficient 3010 Card however the existing driver from Magix can work in Windows ME. Windows ME will auto detect the Card and install the driver as "Efficient Networks SS-3010 Miniport ATM Adapter" which does not able to connect to Magix. You need to remove the driver by following the steps given. Below shows the installation start after Windows installed the driver.



2. From the desktop , right click on My Computer icon and select Properties
   
   
   
3. You will see System Properties Window appears
4. Click on Device Manager tab
   
   
   
5. Double click on Network adapters to expand
   
   
   
6. Double click on Efficient Networks SS-3010 Miniport ATM Adapter
   
   
   
7. You see the Efficient Network SS-3010 Miniport ATM Adapter Properties Window appears
8. Click on Driver tab
   
   
   
9. Click on Update Driver... button
   
   
   
10. You will see a Wizard Window appears
11. Check the option box "Specific the location of the driver (Advanced)" and click on Next > button
    
    
12. Check the option boxes "Search for a better driver than the one your driver is using now. (Recommended)"  
    and "Specify a location" .
13. Click on Browse button to go to the Efficient 3010 driver from Magix CD
14. Click on Next button to continue
    
    
    
15. Check the option box "Install one of the other drivers"
    
    
    
16. You will see Other Driver Window appears
17. Click on OK button
    
    
    
18. Click on Next > button to proceed
    
    
    
19. Click on Next > button
    
    
    
20. Click on Finish button
    
    
    
21. Click on No button if Windows prompt for restart (save time)
    
    
    
22. You have successfully install Efficient 3010 Card into the Windows ME
