Efficient SpeedStream 3060
Configure ATM / Network Settings in Windows 2000
Note:
- Ensure that you have successfully installed the Efficient 3060 Driver before you proceed the installation below
- Connect the ADSL line to the Efficient 3060 Card
- Please wait a while to see a wizard window appears as shown below
- Unplug the ADSL line from the Efficient 3060 Card
- Click on Next> button

- Select "Manually enter connection information" and click on Next> button

- Leave the default settings and click on Next> button

- Select "PPP Over ATM VCMUX Encapsulation" and click on Verify button

- Click on Save button

- The driver will create 2 "SpeedStream DSL" icons at the Dial-Up Networking and Windows Desktop. These dialers are useless to the ATM Connection and we recommend you to delete them away as shown :
- Go to windows desktop and select "SpeedStream DSL" icon
- Right click on the mouse and select Delete option to remove it
- Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Network and Dial-up Connections and select the "SpeedStream DSL" connection icon
- Right click on the mouse and select Delete option

- Click on Yes button to confirm

- Ensure you are at Network and Dial-up Connections window
- Next is to select "ATM Connection" icon
- Right click of the mouse and select Properties option

- Check the option "Show icon in taskbar when connected"
- From the component window , check the options "ATM Call Manager" and "Internet Protocol"

- Configure Internet Protocol
- Select "Internet Protocol" and click on Properties button
- Configure the settings as follows :
Check the option "Use the following IP address:"
- IP address : please refer to the Service Letter
- Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
- Default gateway : follow the IP address except last number is 2
Check the option "Use the following DNS server addresses:"
- Preferred DNS server : 165.21.83.88
- Alternate DNS server : 165.21.100.88
- Click on Advanced... button

- Click on ATM ARP Client Tab

- Check the option "PVC only"
- Click on OK button

- Click on OK button to end Internet Protocol settings
- Configure ATM Call Manager
- Select "ATM Call Manager" and click on Properties button
- Click on Add... button

- From the Application type , select "ATM ARP" option
- Configure the settings as follows :
- Name : magix
- Virtual path ID : 0
- Virtual circuit ID : 101
- ATM adaptation layer : AAL 5
- Click on Advanced... button

- If you see some values on the settings , leave the settings as default and click on OK button

- Click on OK button to end ATM Call Manager settings
- Click on OK button to end ATM / Network Settings
- Please wait a while and you will see this icon appears at the taskbar
- Double click on it

- The status show that you are connected to Magix Service

- You have successfully configured ATM / Network settings onto Windows 2000.
Proceed to "Enable and Disable ATM Connection in Windows 2000".
