Setup Magix Connection (Windows 2000)

1. From the Windows Desktop , double click on My Computer icon
   
   
   
2. Double click on Control Panel icon
   
   
   
3. Double click on Network and Dial-Up Connections icon
   
   
   
4. Double click on Make New Connection icon
   
   
   
5. You should see Connection Wizard Windows appears
6. Click on Next > button
   
   
   
7. Select 'Dial-up to the Internet' option and click on Next > button
   
   
   
8. Select 'I want to setup my Internet connection manually , or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN).' option and click on Next > button
   
   
   
9. Select 'I connect through a phone line and a modem' and click on Next > button
   
   
   
10. Type in 'Telephone number:' as '0' (zero) and uncheck the option 'Use area code and dialing rules'
11. Click on Next > button
    
    
    
12. Type in 'User name:' as userid@INT512 followed by login password
13. Click on Next > button
    
    
    
14. Type in 'Connection name:' as 'Magix' and click on Next > button
    
    
    
15. Click on No button if you do not want to setup Internet mail account
    
    
    
16. Click on Finish button
    
    
    
17. You should see the Magix connection icon created
    
    
    
18. Next is to create a shortcut of 'Magix' to the Windows Desktop
19. Select the Magix connection icon and right click on the mouse button to select Create Shortcut option
    
    
    
20. Click on Yes button
    
    
    
21. You should see a shortcut icon of 'Shortcut to Magix' created at the Windows Desktop
    
    
    
22. You have successfully setup a Magix connection in Windows 2000.
