Efficient SpeedStream 4060 USB

Check SpeedStream DSL and Network Settings in Windows 2000

1. Click on Start > Programs > Efficient Networks > SpeedStream DSL > DSL Status
2. SpeedStream DSL Status window opens. Click on Properties button




3. Ensure that the options "SpeedStream 4060 Miniport ATM/ADSL Adapter" and "Show icon in taskbar when connected" are checked
4. Click on Options Tab




5. Ensure the options "Prompt for username and password, certifate, etc" and "Prompt for phone number" are checked
6. Click on Security Tab




7. Ensure the option "Typical (recommended settings)" is checked
8. Click on Networking Tab




9. Ensure the option "PPP: Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet" is selected
10. Select "Internet Protocol TCP/IP" option and click on Properties button



Internet Protocol TCP/IP Properties
1. Leave your settings are empty
   (You may input DNS settings as follows:
   Primary DNS : 165.21.83.88
   Secondary DNS : 165.21.100.88)
2. Click on Advanced... button




3. Ensure that options "Use default gateway on remote network" and "use IP Compression" are checked
4. Click on DNS Tab




5. Leave the settings as default
6. Click on WINS Tab




7. Leave the settings as default
8. Click on Options Tab




9. Leave the settings as default
10. Click on OK button to close the Advanced settings




11. Click on OK button to close the Internet Protocol TCP/IP Properties


11. You are back to SpeedStream DSL Properties
12. Click on Sharing Tab
13. Leave the settings as default
14. Click on OK button to close SpeedStream DSL Properties




15. You have successfully checked the SpeedStream DSL and Network Settings

If you still encounter problem connecting to Magix , please proceed to "Re-installation of driver"
