Efficient SpeedStream 4060 USB

Install Driver in Windows 2000
Note:

• Ensure that you have connected and powered up the Efficient 4060 with power adapter. If you have problem to do it , please refer it to Modem vendor.
• Ensure that you have inserted the Efficient 4060 Installation CD into the CD-ROM Drive

1. Connect the USB connector from the modem to the USB port of the Computer
2. Windows will start to detect the new hardware added
3. Click on Next > button




4. Select "Search for a situable driver for my device (recommended)"
5. Click on Next > button




6. Select "Specify a location"
7. Click on Next > button




8. Click on Browse button and open the <CD-ROM> drive
9. Click on OK button to select the path
10. Click on OK button to continue




11. The system will start to detect the card's driver files and click on Next > button




12. Please wait while windows copy files into the system
13. Click on Finish button




14. The Efficient software installation screen will open. Click on Accept button to continue

18. Ensure that your telephone line (ADSL line) is connected to the modem
19. Double click on the efficient icon ( or ) at the taskbar
20. If you see there is a DISABLE sign across the Efficient logo , it shows that you have not connected the ADSL line to the modem. Connect the ADSL line to the modem




21. Please wait while the Modem sync to the ADSL Line
22. The logo will turn BLUE color once ready




23. The setup wizard window will automatically appears and click on the Next > button




24. Please wait while the configuration will automatically get the VPI / VCI values

( if the configuration has captured more than 1 set of values , select "VPI: 0 / VCI: 100 / Protocol: PPP Over ATM LLC Encapsulation" )



25. Click on Save button to continue




26. You will see "SpeedStream DSL" and "Efficient logo" icons on the desktop and taskbar respectively


27. You can rename "SpeedStream DSL" to Magix


28. You have successfully setup Magix Connection in Windows 2000.

Proceed to "Connecting to Magix".
