Macintosh OS X - Setting up a SingNet Connection
- Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences...
- Double click on Network icon
(you can select either one with the red circle)
- You will see a window appears as shown below
- From the Location , select "New Location..." option
- Type in "SingNet" and click on OK button
- Now you are at the TCP/IP Tab
- Select show and configure option as "Internal Modem" and "Using PPP" respectively
- Click on PPP Tab
- Configure the settings as follows :
Telephone Number : please enter your assigned SingNet account dial-up number. Please refer to your Account Slip or SingNet JumpStart kit CD jacket. You can also get the information here
Account Name : userid
Password : *******
- Click on PPP Options... button
- Leave the settings as default and click on OK button
- Click on Proxies Tab
- Check the Web Proxy (HTTP) and type in proxy.singnet.com.sg Port: 8080
- Click on Modem Tab
- Leave the settings as default and click on OK button
- Click on Apply Now button to save the settings
- You have successfully setup a SingNet connection
