Macintosh OS X - Setting up a SingNet Connection

 

  1. Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences...



  2. Double click on Network icon

  3. (you can select either one with the red circle)


  4. You will see a window appears as shown below



  5. From the Location , select "New Location..." option



  6. Type in "SingNet" and click on OK button



  7. Now you are at the TCP/IP Tab
  8. Select show and configure option as "Internal Modem" and "Using PPP" respectively
  9. Click on PPP Tab



  10. Configure the settings as follows :

  11. Telephone Number : please enter your assigned SingNet account dial-up number. Please refer to your Account Slip or SingNet JumpStart kit CD jacket. You can also get the information here

    Account Name : userid
    Password : *******

  12. Click on PPP Options... button



  13. Leave the settings as default and click on OK button
  14. Click on Proxies Tab



  15. Check the Web Proxy (HTTP) and type in proxy.singnet.com.sg Port: 8080
  16. Click on Modem Tab



  17. Leave the settings as default and click on OK button



  18. Click on Apply Now button to save the settings



  19. You have successfully setup a SingNet connection
