Microsoft Windows ME - Connecting to SingNet
- Click on Start > Settings > Dial-Up Networking
(Another alternative: Go to Control Panel and 'double-click' on Dial-Up Networking icon)
- Dial-Up Networking window opens. You will see the Singnet icon
- Double-click on the SingNet icon
- The Connect To window opens. As you can see there are 5 entry items in this window.
- SingNet: Dialer/Account that you are using to connect
- Username: Enter your UserID here
- Password: Enter your Login Password here
(Please be aware that your password is case-sensitive and comprise of alpha-numeric characters. Your password is the first item to check out if you have problems logging into the server)
- Phone number: 171XX , refer to system configuration for phone number
(Your number may be different depending on the type of SingNet Account you subscribed to. If you are not sure, please refer to the Account Slip or SingNet JumpStart kit CD jacket for the information.)
- Dialing From: Leave this as default
- The Connecting to SingNet screen below will be displayed.
- The Connecting to SingNet screen - Status: Verifying user name and password, will be displayed when the server is authenticating the UserId and password.
- Once the server has verified your username and password, you will be connected to the server and this window will pop-up if this is the first time you get connected.
- If the above screen is not displayed, please look at the Windows taskbar for an icon similar to the one below. Double-click on this icon to see the status of your connection.
- The connection status screen will be displayed.
- When you have finished using your SingNet account, please click on the Disconnect button to disconnect.
Connecting to SingNet in Windows Me is completed
