Microsoft Windows XP Pro/Home - Create and Setup up a new SingNet Connection

 

  1. For Win XP Pro users:
    1) On the Windows Desktop, click on Start > My Network Places


    2) On the left side, click on View network connections



    For Win XP Home users:
    1) There will not be My Network Places option available
    2) Click on Control Panel


    3) On the right side, click on Network and Internet Connections


    4) Click on Network Connections icon below


  2. On the left side, click on Create a new connection


  3. A window appears as follows. Click on Next > button


  4. Select the option `Connect to the Internet` and click on Next > button


  5. Select the option `Set up my connection manually` and click on Next > button


  6. Select the option `Connect using a dial-up modem` and click on Next > button


  7. Type in SingNet under the ISP Name and click on Next > button


  8. Type in the Phone number according to the type of service:
    Toll Free : 17131
    Non-Toll Free : 17132 / 17133      ( V.90 or X2 )
    Non-Toll Free : 17134      ( V.90 or Flex )
    Unlimited : 17135
    ISDN Personal : 17137
    FOL : 17136      ( V.90 or Flex )
  9. Click on Next > button


  10. Type in the User name and Password accordingly (refer to the service letter) and untick the option "Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection"
  11. Click on Next > button


  12. Tick the option `Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop` if you want to create a shortcut on the desktop
  13. Click on Finish button


  14. A new dialer is created in the Network Connections


  15. A connection shortcut icon will be created at the Windows desktop


  16. You`ve successfully setup a SingNet connection
