Configure Browser Settings - Netscape Communicator 4.0

 
Proxy Setting

  1. Launch the Netscape Communicator Program
  2. From the menubar, click on Edit > Preferences...




  3. Netscape Communicator Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right




  4. In the left window, select Advanced > Proxies item
  5. In the right window, select the option Manual proxy configuration
  6. Click on the View... button to continue



  7. The Manual Proxy Configuration window opens. Enter one set of these settings only:


  8. For Toll-Free and Non Toll-Free users,
      HTTP Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
      FTP Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
    or
      HTTP Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      FTP Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080

    For Family On-Line (FOL) users,
      HTTP Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      FTP Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080



  9. Click on the OK button twice to apply and update the changes
Clear Memory / Disk Cache
  1. Launch the Netscape Communicator Program
  2. From the menubar, click on Edit > Preferences...




  3. Netscape Communicator Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right




  4. In the left window, select Advanced > Cache item
  5. In the right window, click on Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache button to clear cache
  6. Click on OK button to confirm to clear when prompted.




  7. Click on OK button to continue
