There are 3 types of Dialer Configuration which are dependent on the MacOS and component used

• ConfigPPP - [Applicable to MacOS 7.1 to 7.53]
• Open Transport - [Applicable to MacOS 7.53 to 8.1]
• FreePPP  2.52  2.57  2.61 - [Applicable to MacOS 7.53 to 8.1]
  (Note: FreePPP is a 3rd Party software)

1. It is assumed that you have already setup your dialer with the required settings and information that are required to connect to SingNet
2. Click on the Apple Menu > Control Panels > TCP/IP
3. Click on Open button to connect to SingNet







4. Once you are connected to the server, the PPP DOWN status will change to PPP UP status and the buttons Soft Close and Hard Close will be enabled.
5. Once you have finished using your account, please click on the Hard Close button to disconnect


Config PPP Connecting to SingNet is completed

1. It is assumed that you have already setup your dialer with the required settings and information that are required to connect to SingNet
2. From the Apple Menu > Control Panels > PPP
3. A PPP dialog window opens
4. If you have more than 1 account/configuration, then go to step 5 to select the account/configuration that you want to use, else go to step 8
5. Go to the Macintosh desktop menubar and click on File > Configuration...





6. Select the desired account or configuration and click on the Make Active and then Done button





7. You will be brought back to the PPP dialog window





8. Type in your userid and password at Name: and Password: option respectively
9. In the Number: entry box, please enter your assigned SingNet account dial-up number. Please refer to your Account Slip or SingNet JumpStart kit CD jacket. You can also get the information here 
10. Click on Connect button to connect to SingNet





11. Your modem will dial out and the normal authentication process will take place.
12. Once you are connected to the server, the Status item will display information pertaining to your connection.
13. Once you have finished using your account, please click on the Disconnect button


Open Transport Connecting to SingNet is completed

1. It is assumed that you have already setup your dialer with the required settings and information that are required to connect to SingNet
2. Click on Apple Menu > Control Panels > FreePPP Setup or FreePPP Dialer
3. The FreePPP dialog window opens
4. Click on the Connect button to connect to SingNet





5. Your modem will dial out and the normal authentication process will take place.
6. Once you are connected to the server, the status will display information pertaining to your connection.
7. Once you have finished using your account, please click on the Disconnect button


FreePPP 2.52 Connecting to SingNet is completed

1. It is assumed that you have already setup your dialer with the required settings and information that are required to connect to SingNet
2. Click on Apple Menu > Control Panels > FreePPP Setup or FreePPP Dialer
3. The FreePPP dialog window opens
4. Click on the Connect button to connect to SingNet





5. Your modem will dial out and the normal authentication process will take place.
6. Once you are connected to the server, the status will display information pertaining to your connection.
7. Once you have finished using your account, please click on the Disconnect button


FreePPP 2.57 Connecting to SingNet is completed

1. It is assumed that you have already setup your dialer with the required settings and information that are required to connect to SingNet
2. Click on Apple Menu > Control Panels > FreePPP Setup or FreePPP Dialer
3. The FreePPP dialog window opens
4. Click on the Connect button to connect to SingNet





5. Your modem will dial out and the normal authentication process will take place.
6. Once you are connected to the server, the status item will display information pertaining to your connection.
7. Once you have finished using your account, please click on the Disconnect button
