Macintosh 8.5 and Above - Configuring Internet Setup Assistant
- Click on the Apple Menu > Control Panels > Internet

- Click on the Personal tab
- In the Name: item, please enter your Real Name or any name of your choice
- In the E-mail Address item, please enter your SingNet email address
- In the Organization item, please enter SingNet or your own company's name. (This item is optional)

- Click on the E-mail tab
- Configure the setting as follows :
- User Account ID: Please type in your SingNet userid
- Incoming Mail Server:
(Please type in your assigned SingNet account Incoming Mail Server setting. Please refer to your Account Slip or SingNet JumpStart kit CD jacket if you are not sure. You can also get the information here)
- Password: Please type in your SingNet email password
- Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: Please type in mail.singnet.com.sg

- Click on Web tab
- Leave the setting as default

- Click on News tab to continue
- Type in News (NNTP) Server as news.singnet.com.sg

- If you do not have the Advanced tab in the Internet window, please go to the menubar and click on Edit > User Mode... to enable the Advanced tab. However, if you have the Advanced tab, please proceed to step 10

- The User Mode dialog window appears.
- Please select Advanced and click on OK to continue

- The Advanced tab should be visible in the Internet window now. Please click on it
- In the left-side window, select Firewalls
- On the right of this window, please check or tick these 3 option boxes:
- Web Proxy, Gopher Proxy and FTP Proxy
- In each of these entry boxes, type in
- proxy.singnet.com.sg Port: 8080
or
- proxy2.singnet.com.sg Port: 8080
depending on the assigned proxy setting for your account
- Click the left top square box to end the configuration

- Click on Save button to apply to changes
