Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional - Create and Setup a new SingNet Connection
- From the desktop, double click My Computer icon
- My Computer window opens. Double-click on the Control Panel icon
- Control Panel window opens. Double click on the Network and Dial-up Connections icon
- Double click on Make New Connection icon
- The Network Connection Wizard window opens.
- Click on the Next > button to proceed
- Click on the option box Dial-up to the Internet and click on Next > button to continue
- Click on the 3rd option box I want to setup Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network [LAN]
- Click on Next > button
- Click on the option box I connect through a phone line and a modem
- Click on the Next > button
- Select the modem type that you have installed previously and click on Next > button to continue
- Type in the Service Number at the Telephone number
- Click on Advanced... button to continue
- From the Connection type option, check the option box PPP (Point to Point Protocol)
- Click on Addresses tab
- Please configure as follows:
- Under the item IP Address
- select Internet Service Provider automatically provides one
- Under the item DNS Server Address
- Select Always use the following :
Primary DNS server: 165.21.83.88
Secondary DNS server: 165.21.100.88
Click on OK button to continue
- You will be prompted for your dial-up number. Click on Next > button
(Please refer to the system configuration for the phone number)
- Type in your userid and password and click on Next > button
- Type in SingNet at the Connection name.
- Click on the option box No and click on Next > button
(If you would like to configure the mail account, you can check the option box "yes" to continue)
- Click on Finish button to end the setup
- You will see a SingNet Connection in the Network and Dial-Up Connections folder
