Microsoft Windows ME - Check Dial-Up Adapter and TCP/IP Settings
Important note : Before you proceed, please make sure that you have the original version of Windows ME installation CD-ROM with you.
If the Network setup window is not opened, please continue with the steps below:
- Go to the taskbar and click on: Start > Settings > Control Panel
- Double click on Network icon
- The Network components window opens. Highlight Dial-Up Adapter and click on Properties button
- Click on the Driver Type tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below

- Click on the Bindings tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below
- Click on the Advanced tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below
- Click on the OK button. The Network components window is displayed again.
Highlight TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter and click on Properties button
- TCP/IP Properties window opens. Click on the DNS Configuration tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below
- Click on the Advanced tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below
- Click on the Bindings tab and ensure that the settings are as indicated below
- Click on the OK button and follow any instructions prompted by the process.
