Microsoft Windows ME - Removing ang Installing TCP/IP Component

 
Important Note :

Before you proceed with the setup, please ensure that you have the original version of Windows Me installation CD-ROM with you.

  1. Go to the taskbar and click on: Start > Settings > Control Panel




  2. Control Panel window opens. Double click on Network icon




  3. Network component window opens.
  4. To remove TCP/IP component, highlight TCP/IP component in the window and click on Remove button




  5. The component will be removed. If you do not wish to add any other component, click on Ok and you will be prompted to ReStart the PC to update the change

  6. However, if you wish to add any other component or the TCP/IP component, click on Add button to proceed




  7. Select Network Component Type window opens. Highlight Protocol and click on Add button to continue




  8. Highlight the component that you want to install and click on Ok.
  9. You may be asked to insert Windows ME CD-ROM. Just follow the instructions given.




  10. You will see the TCP/IP component in the Network component window. Click on Ok and you will be prompted to restart the PC to update the changes




  11. The TCP/IP Protocol component installation in Windows ME completed
