Configure Browser Settings - Macintosh Netscape Communicator 4

 
Proxy Setting

  1. Launch the Netscape Communicator Program
  2. From the menubar, click on Edit > Preferences...




  3. Netscape Communicator Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right




  4. In the left window, select Advanced > Proxies item
  5. In the right window, select the option Manual proxy configuration
  6. Click on the Configure... button to continue



  7. The Manual Proxy Configuration window opens. Enter one set of these settings only:


  8. For Toll-Free and Non Toll-Free users,
      FTP Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
      HTTP Proxy: proxy.singnet.com.sg      Port:  8080
    or
      FTP Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      HTTP Proxy: proxy2.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080

    For Family On-Line (FOL) users,
      FTP Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      Gopher Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080
      HTTP Proxy: fol.singnet.com.sg     Port:  8080



  9. Click on the OK button twice to apply and update the changes
Clear Memory / Disk Cache
  1. Launch the Internet Explorer Program
  2. From the menubar, click on Edit > Preferences...




  3. Netscape Communicator Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right




  4. In the left window, select Advanced > Cache item.
  5. In the right window, go to the Cache item and click on the Clear Disk Cache Now button to clear the cache




  6. Click on OK button to apply and update the changes
