The Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right
In the left window, select Mail & Newsgroups > Identity item
Configure the settings as follows
Your Name: [Enter your Real Name here]
E-mail address: [Enter your SingNet email address here]
Reply-to address: [Enter your SingNet email address here]
In the left window, select Mail & Newsgroups > Mail Servers item
Configure the settings as follows :
Incoming Mail Servers
There should be at least one selection here. If this is empty, please click on the Add button on the right of this window and enter the setup information as indicated below. However, if an item is present, highlight it and click on Edit button.
The Mail Server Properties window opens. Please configure as follows:
Server Name: pop.singnet.com.sg
Server Type: Please select POP3 Server
User Name: [Enter your SingNet UserID here]
Leave the other options empty
Click on the Ok button to continue and you will be brought back to the Preferences window
Outgoing Mail Server
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.singnet.com.sg
Outgoing mail server user name: [Enter your SingNet userId here]
Select Never for Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages item
Click on the OK button to apply and update the changes
Your SingNet Mail Server configuration in Communicator 4.5 is completed
