Technical Support - Email - Microsoft Outlook 2002  
Microsoft Outlook 2002

 
You must have Outlook 2002 installed and have a working existing Internet Dial-Up Connection before you perform this configuration

  • Create New Account
    1. Open the Outlook 2002



    2. You should then see a Preferences window as shown below



    3. Click on Tools > E-mail Accounts...



    4. From the Email option, tick the option "Add a new e-mail account" and click on Next > button



    5. Tick the option "POP3" and click on Next > button



    6. Type in the settings as follows:
    7. User Information


        Your Name: User Name
        E-mail Address: UserID@singnet.com.sg

      Server Information


        Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.singnet.com.sg
        Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.singnet.com.sg

      Logon Information


        User Name: UserID
        Password: *******



    8. Click on More Settings... button
    9. Leave the settings as default and click on Outgoing Server tab



    10. Leave the settings as default and click on Connection tab



    11. Leave the settings as default and click on Advanced tab



    12. Leave the settings as default and click on OK button



    13. Click on Next > button
    14. Click on Finish button



    15. You have successfully created an new account

  • Edit Existing Account
      1. Open the Outlook 2002



      2. You should then see a Preferences window as shown below



      3. Click on Tools > E-mail Accounts...



      4. From the Email option , tick the option "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click on Next > button



      5. Select the account and click on Change... button to edit



      6. Ensure the settings as follows :
      7. User Information


          Your Name: User Name
          E-mail Address: UserID@singnet.com.sg

        Server Information


          Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.singnet.com.sg
          Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.singnet.com.sg

        Logon Information


          User Name: userid
          Password: *******



      8. Click on Next > button
      9. Click on Finish button



      10. You have successfully edited the account settings
