Troubleshooting Guides
We only support a list of approved wireless cards as shown here. If you are using other brand wireless card, please refer to the card vendor for the support. Please follow the below procedure :
- If your wireless card is able to associate to the wireless base station, please check whether
- Username and Password is correct
One of the most common problem is to type in the wrong username or password. Ensure that you have type in the userid in "UserID@singnet" format (without quotation). Please re-type them and try again. Click here to manage your password.
- If your wireless card is NOT able to associate to the wireless base station, please check whether
- you are at the Correct Location
Please ensure that you are within the Wireless Surf Zones. If you are a SingTel mobile subscriber, you can use Location-Based *Send (*624) to check for Wireless Surf Zones.
- you are not Out of Range
The signal coverage is typically about 20 - 30 meters in radius from the wireless base station. The signal strength may be affected if there are barriers (e.g wall) between yourself and the wireless base station. Try to move your location around the area to get a better signal coverage.
- Wireless Card Configuration is configured correctly
Below shows a list of tested and approved Wireless Card and select the type of Wireless Card that you are using :
- your Wireless Card is not faulty
If you suspect that your wireless card is faulty , please refer the support to the wireless card vendor.
- Network Settings is configured correctly
If you specify an IP address at the TCP/IP but did not include any DNS settings , you may experience problem to see the login page , thus not able to connect. Try to include any DNS address like 165.21.83.88 to overcome this problem.
- Wireless Base Station is working
Please call our Helpdesk hotlines 1800-848-6933 (0800 - 0000 hrs) to check for our Wireless Base Station status. Remember to tell your user id and location of the Wireless Surf Zones to the hotlines officier. Click here for list of Wireless Surf Zones
