Compex iWavePort WL11A+ : Configure Client Manager (Win 98SE/ME/2000)

Before you start, please ensure that you have completely installed the Compex driver and Client Manager Utility.

1. If your wireless card is not configured properly or not associated to the base station, you should see the wireless icon with red bar at the System Taskbar




2. Double click on the wireless icon
3. You should see the Client Manager window appears




4. Go to Actions > Add/Edit Configuration Profile




5. You should see the Add/Edit Configuration Profile window appears
6. To edit the existing profile, follow below steps. Otherwise go to step 7 to add a new profile
1. Select the `Outdoor Wireless Surf` profile




2. Click on Edit button




3. Select the Network type as `Access Point` and click on Next > button




4. Proceed to step 8


7. To add a new profile,
1. Click on Add button




2. Type in the Profile Name e.g. `Outdoor Wireless Surf` and select the Network type as `Access Point`
3. Click on Next > button




4. Proceed to step 8


8. Click on Scan button




9. Select "singtel" network and click on OK button




10. click on Next > button




11. Disable the `Enable Data Security` option and click on Next > button




12. Select the `Off` option and click on Next > button




13. Tick the `Renew IP Address when selecting this profile` option and click on Finish button




14. Click on OK button




15. Please wait while the computer is detecting the wireless network




16. Upon successfully wireless connection, you see green signal bars at the Client Manager




17. At the system taskbar, you should see the wireless icon with green bars




18. You have successfully configured the Profile in the Client Manager
