Configure Windows XP Wireless Connection
(apply to all wireless cards that support Win XP)
Before you start, please ensure that you have completely installed the wireless card driver in Windows XP.
- Double click on the Windows XP Wireless Connection icon at the System Taskbar

- Click on Properties button

- Click on Wireless Networks tab
(If you cannot see the Wireless Networks tab, the problem should be there is another active wireless utility running. You have to disable it)

- From the Available networks, select "singtel" network and then click on Configure button

- Before configuring the network properties, verify with user which version of network properties user is using. To check, click here
- Configure the settings according to the network properties version as follows:
- Ensure the network name(SSID) is "singtel"
- Disable the options "Data encryption (WEP enabled)" and "Network Authenication (Shared mode)" or "Data encryption"
- Type 1 : WinXP with no Service Pack

- Type 2 : WinXP with Service Pack 1 only

- Type 3 : WinXP with Service Pack 1 patched with KB826942

- Click on OK button
- Click on OK button to apply the settings

- You should see the wireless icon with green bars at the System Taskbar

- You have successfully configured the Wireless Network Connection in Windows XP
