Technical Support - Wireless Surf - Outdoor Wireless Surf  

 

Intel 2011B : Configuration of Wireless Connection Profile (Win 98SE/ME/2000/XP)

Before you start, please ensure that you have completely installed the Intel 2011B driver and the Intel Pro Set II Utility

  1. Launch the Intel Pro Set II Utility from the desktop
  2. Select Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN PC Card from the Network Components list
  3. On the right side of the screen, click on Settings tab on top
  4. Click on My WLAN Places.. button below to create a new profile



  5. Double-click on Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN PC Card



  6. Double-click on Add New LAN Profile



  7. Click on Next > button



  8. Type in Outdoor Wireless Surf as the Profile name
  9. Type in Singtel Hotspot as the Profile description
  10. Click on Next > button



  11. Type in singtel in the SSID field
  12. Click on Next > button



  13. Select No option and click on Next > button



  14. Select No option and click on Next > button

  15. (Select Yes if you wish to password protect your profile)


  16. Select Yes to restart your system



  17. After restarting your system, launch the Intel Pro Set II Utility and you should be able to that the connection is ready



  18. You've successfully associated with the Outdoor Wireless Surf Access Point. Launch your Internet browser to start surfing
